How to obtain a Thailand tourist visa in 3 simple steps

1. Passport — this must be valid for at least six months beyond entry dates and have at least one blank visa page.
2. Two recent passport-sized photos with a white background.

5. A copy of your accommodation booking confirmation in Thailand.
6. Original paper current account bank statements showing a minimum balance of £5,000 over six months.

Do I need to get vaccinated for yellow fever before travelling?
We recommend getting vaccinated for yellow fever before flying to Thailand, especially if you are planning on travelling through one of the country’s designated Yellow Fever Infected Areas. It’s also advised that you carry your International Certificate of Vaccination when travelling.
Do I need a visa for catching connecting flights via Thailand?
People passing through Thailand airports to catch a connecting flight do not need a Thailand visa, provided they do not leave the airport and are there for less than 12 hours.
When is a Thailand tourist visa valid from?
A Thailand tourist visa is valid from the date of issue, not the date of entry into the country.
