- A passport with at least six month’s validity, and two or more consecutive blank visa pages facing each other.
- One recent passport photo with a white background.
- A fully completed Kenya Tourist Visa Application form, which you can find in our application pack.
- A copy of your flight booking confirmation showing your return flights.
- Persons under the age of 18 require written permission from either of their parents to travel.
Additional requirements for multiple entry visa:
- A passport with least one year’s validity from the entry date into Kenya and two or more consecutive blank visa pages facing each other.
- A personal statement explaining why you require a multiple entry visa.
- A photocopy of a previous Kenyan visa you have been issued.
- Proof of hotel bookings and details of the places you wish to visit.
Please note: Applicants who will be touring both Kenya and Tanzania, and intend to re-enter Kenya on the way back to the UK, will only require a single-entry visa.

Do I need a visa for catching a connecting flight from Kenya?
As long as your stay in a Kenyan airport doesn’t exceed 72 hours, you do not need to apply for a Kenyan visa.
Can I stay in Kenya past the visa expiry date?
To remain in Kenya past the visa expiry date, talk to officials in local immigration offices in the cities of Eldoret, Embu, Garissa, Kisumu, Lamu, Malindi, Mombasa, Nakuru or Nairobi.
When does a Kenya tourist visa become valid
A Kenyan tourist visa is valid from the date you enter the country, not when it is issued.
