Frequently Asked Questions
What is a visa?
This is an endorsement on a passport indicating that the holder is allowed to enter, leave, or stay for a specified period of time in a country.
Visas come in many different types. The type and where you obtain them from (i.e. airport or embassy) depends on the country and visa.
How can you obtain a visa?
Visas are usually obtained either at the airport on arrival or before flying from the relevant embassy.
Many countries do not allow you to obtain a visa on arrival. You must obtain it before travelling (e.g. you must have a Saudi family visit visa before you fly to Saudi Arabia from the UK. You cannot obtain it on arrival).
What types of visas are available?
There are many different types of visas. These completely depend on the country you require a visa for.
Please be aware that not all countries offer tourist or/and business visas. For many countries a business or tourist visa is usually the two main visas they offer.
