Those wishing to travel to Cameroon on tourism must obtain a Cameroon tourist visa before travelling. Without a valid visa, you may be refused entry into Cameroon or even permission to fly.

How to obtain a Cameroon Tourist Visa - 3 simple steps
- Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months beyond exit date + at least one blank visa page)
- Two recent passport-sized photos (must have a white background)
- Two fully completed and signed application form – complete online, print and then sign (please refer to the visa pack for the form)
- A recent (less than 1 month-old) current account non-online bank statement showing a balance of at least £1000
- A copy of the flight itinerary showing return flights
- A copy of the hotel booking confirmation
- A copy of your Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (please note you may be expected to present this certificate when entering Cameroon)
- A copy of your Cholera Vaccination Certificate (if you have come from/been to an affected area - you may be required to present this certificate when entering Cameroon)
- A copy of your original travel insurance policy certificate (email confirmations are not accepted) - certificate must contains your full name and the policy must be valid for the entire length of your travel
The Cameroonian embassy only offers one type of tourist visa which is a variable entry visa. However, there are two services available including a 3-working day and 1-working day.
Same Day Service
If you require a same day service, you must provide a hand-written letter stating your full name, address and an explanation as to why you require a visa so soon (you should state at least two reasons). This letter must be stamped by the Financial Service of the Cameroon High Commission.
More Information
Travelling Children
You must provide us your child’s birth certificate and a letter from at least one parent allowing the child to travel. This needs to be accompanied with the rest of the application and must include the parent’s passport (for cross-referencing by the Cameroon embassy).
Married Couples:
If one of a couple are travelling to Cameroon, they must also send their marriage certificate and a letter from their Cameroonian partner.
Please note that there is a small chance that your presence may be required for purposes of identification during the application process.
